Situation 

 

 

 

The Benign one, is a country of Western Africa, which covers a surface

 from 114 000 km2 and extends on 670 km, of the Niger river in north

at the Atlantic coast in the south.

 

The country belongs to CEDEAO. It has like neighbors Togo in the west,

Nigeria in the east and Niger and Burkina Faso in north.

The major part of the population lives in the southernmost coastal plains,

   

Of form stretched between the Niger river in north and the coastal plain in the south,

the relief of the worldwide is not very broken. The north of the country is

mainly made up of savanna and semi-arid mountains.

 The culminating point is the Sagboroa mount with 658 meters. South of the country

consists of a low coastal plain strewn with marshes,

lakes and lagoons such as for example the lake Nohoué or the lagoon of Oporto Novo

in which Ouémé is thrown, principal river of the country (after Niger).
